Business Loan Processor I or II 



Prepare closing packages for our credit union partners, ensuring the documents are done in an accurate manner adhering to all departmental procedures. Prepare loan denial/withdrawal notices on loan applications as required. To provide support for vacations, leaves and other absences as required.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (including essential functions):

  • Prepare loan documentation closing packages, process orders for title work, appraisals, environmental reports, building files for shipment and initiate contact with various vendors/credit unions as required.
  • Prepare loan denial/withdrawal notices on applicable loan applications as required by individual credit union members and building those files as required.
  • Handle calls from credit union partners/vendors as necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned from time to time.
Position Requirements


  • Three to five years of similar or related experience. 
  • Equivalency of a two-year college degree or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and at the same time work independently
  • Attention to detail is a must.
  • Professional manner when dealing with others within the organization; members; and vendors; being sensitive to the nature of the critical information that is dealt with each day, adhering to privacy policies.  
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Basic understanding of business lending.  .


  • Consistently produce accurate loan closing documentation with minimum errors.
  • Consistently prepare denial/withdrawal notices and files in a timely manner.
  • Consistently maintain the biweekly shipping schedule for files.
  • Assist credit union partners and vendors in answering questions regarding business loans in a professional and efficient manner.
  • Adhere to established corporate and departmental policies and procedures.


  • The work environment and physical demands of this position are representative of typical jobs in comparable companies.  Work is performed in an office setting.


  • Keeps abreast of regulatory information, changes, and updates to the Bank Secrecy Act by completing annual compliance training.  Adheres to the policies set forth by MBS to stay in compliance with these regulatory mandates.
  • Keep abreast of regulatory information, changes, and updates to NCUA Part 723.
  • Follow policies and procedures for password management, maintains confidentiality and escalates suspicious items; follows member due diligence procedures to safeguard company assets.
  • Act quickly to respond to user add/delete policies & procedures to ensure safety of company assets.
