Description

George School, a co-ed, 9-12, Quaker boarding/day school located in Newtown, Bucks County, PA, seeks a part time teacher of Film Production beginning August 2017.

 
Position Requirements

Students in this course range from beginning to IB candidates. The successful teacher will demonstrate competencies needed to improve student preparedness and mastery of skills related to film production, while also supporting the core values, vision and mission of a Quaker boarding-day school. Applicants should have experience teaching film and video production, editing, cinematography techniques, photography, graphic design, story development and scripting, and visual communication strategies. (S)he should be proficient with both MAC and PC platforms and have knowledge about iMovie, Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects, and Photoshop at a minimum. A Bachelor’s degree in film is required. A Master’s degree and/or professional experience is preferred. Candidates may or may not have experience teaching the IB Film curriculum, but will be required to take summer course(s) if they do not in preparation for teaching in the fall.
