Category Information Technology  
  • This position is a temporary position, and will run for approximately eight months
  • Support releasability determinations
  • Conduct Information Assurance (IA) Certification and Accreditation (C&A) support activities as specified in the Government approved IMS
  • Conduct Information System Security Engineering (ISSE) and Information System Security Architecture in support of maintaining the Personnel Recovery Mission Software (PRMS) Authority to Operate (ATO)
  • Analyze candidate Engineering Change Requests (ECR) to assess the impacts to the PRMS accredited implementation
  • Conduct ISSE for systems being added or modified for a recurring event including IA controls allocation and PWS interpretation, security impact analysis, and design for vulnerability mitigations
  • Support the PRMS ECR process by providing support in identifying IA requirements and assume responsibilities for security documentation development and review in coordination with the Government IA team and provide inputs to the Functional Analysis Reports and Process
  • Collect, track, analyze, test, integrate and report status of required security fixes
  • Maintain the system security patch tracking and update process to ensure implementation and reporting of patches to PRMS systems IAW the PRMS Configuration Management (CM) Plan.
  • Support development of IA inputs to program and baseline documents, such as: business continuity plan, disaster recovery plan, continuity of operations plan, engineering plan, system administration manual, system security plan, and version description document.
  • Support the development and maintenance of a comprehensive DoD IA certification and accreditation package IAW the Air Force Policy Directive 33-2 by performaing the following activities:
  • Provide support to Government conducted tests and evaluations including developing security documentation, providing support for Plan of Action & Milestones (POA&M), and coordinating with PRMS IA personnel and Air Force Communications Agency (AFCA) on security approach and documentation.
  • Support development of documentation for the Security, Interoperability, Supportability, Sustainability and Usability (SISSU) tab portion of Enterprise Information Technology Data Repository (EITDR) or IA controls in Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS) for PRMS and its infrastructure system to obtain Authority to Operate (ATO) and Authority to Connect (ATC) for the Primary and Backup sites.
  • Perform security analysis, engineering and configuration activities as required in support of PRMS modifications due to product updates. Securing shall include application and verification of "lockdowns" and security patches on each system using the most recent Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Gold Disk and all applicable DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs). Support development or updating of documentation/build plans detailing the lockdown and patch procedures to ensure configuration can be replicated.
  • Provide support to the Government IA team in defining site IA requirements and processes. Support shall include working with the sites to gather IA-related information such as required artifacts, identify site's IA concerns and site specific IA implementations as required by security guidance and recommend proposed solutions.
  • Provide support for the packaging and delivery of PRMS security service packs
Position Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in IT or related field; or Associate's Degree in IT or related Field and five (5) years IT-related experience
  • Minimum of three years (3) working in an IT or related field
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience with DISA Security Technical Information Guides (STIGs), certification and accreditation packages with Federal Government, DIACAP and AFCAP, IDS/IPS, Tripwire, Retina Network Security Scanner, HBSS
  • Minimum of three (3) years DoD, or other Government Agency experience
  • Minimum of Secret with ability to obtain TS/SCI for server room access
  • Meet IAM Level 2 Certification requirements in accordance with DoD 8570
