This position will support our client on-site. This role will support managing 300 students per year in the client undergraduate scholarship programs. Successful applicant would serve on a 5-member team that manages all aspects of student participation, including recruitment, selection, orientation and internships.Tasks to be performed include the following:

  • Support the student application, administrative review, and selection processes.
  • Monitor program components and advise Senior Program Managers on policy and process improvements.
  • Oversee the annual student intern badging process with the Office of Security.
  • Respond to telephone and email inquiries on client student scholarship programs, with review and approval of Senior Program Managers.
  • Monitor and develop reports on student progress in the student scholarship programs.
  • Work with Senior Program Managers on performance monitoring and program evaluation.
  • Maintain student scholarship files.
  • Assist with organizing and facilitating Student Scholarship meetings.
  • Oversee support activities for the week-long Orientation Program and the week-long Science and Education Symposium.
  • Prepare correspondence for the Senior Program Managers' signature (i.e., applicants, reviewers, judges, and mentors).
  • Maintain a scholarship program calendar of events and activities.
  • Submit content for Office of Education social media and web presence.
  • Participate in student recruitment activities and events, as needed.
  • Conduct other education and outreach activities in support of the scholarship programs, as needed.
  • Participate in professional development, as appropriate.

Minimum Required Skills

- BS/BA degree (or equivalent) in a related area as well as 2 years of experience in the field or in a related area.- Proficient in the use of e-mail, MS Office Suite including Access, Excel, Word and PowerPoint, Google docs, spreadsheet, database, and presentation software and use of the Internet to access data, maintain records, and generate reports.- Candidate must have strong organizational, analytical, and oral and written communication skills; project management, group facilitation, and interpersonal skills.- Science background and bilingual capability preferred.- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
