About the Organization Established June 15, 1971, Valley Community Services Board is a publicly funded organization where citizens of Staunton, Waynesboro, and Augusta and Highland Counties can receive Behavioral Health, Substance Use and Developmental Services services. Valley Community Services Board serves as the single point of entry into publicly funded mental health, developmental, and substance use disorder services for these localities.

Description

Do you enjoy working with children, adolescents, and their families?  Are you interested in mental health and helping families find the supports and resources they need?  Come work for Valley Community Services Board as a child case manager.  This position requires a bachelor’s degree in a human services field and at least one year experience working with children or adolescents in a clinical mental health setting.

The primary duties of this position include:

-Providing intensive case management services to SED/at risk children and adolescents

-Collaborating with the child/adolescent, family, and community providers to enhance the child/adolescent’s functioning in the home, school, and community

- Working effectively in the community and home settings

-Helping child/adolescent and family navigate crises and link to emergency services as needed.

 
Position Requirements

Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree in Human Services field and at least one year experience in a clinical mental health setting is required. Must meet QMHP-C criteria. Current driver’s license and driving record acceptable to VCSB insurance carrier.  Other locations to include clients’ homes and other community location as identified to meet client needs.
