DESCRIPTION:

The Architect of System Engineering provides system related technical leadship for the award winning Movimento Unified OTA platform that has been revolutionizing the automotive industry. The candidate will be working on the advanced automotive applications while leading efforts to develop the architecture of Movimento in-vehicle client and collaborating with software development teams. The ideal candidate is an experienced architect with expertise in designing effective software architecture and software development in the domain of embedded systems or automotive.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with business analysts and business representatives to define & clarify requirements, perform detailed analysis, develop detailed designs, and implement robust, maintainable solutions that meet the business requirements.
  • Perform all development with adequate requirements and technical analysis as appropriate.
  • Define and implement development best practices including secure coding, adequate unit testing, code quality checks, automated build processes, and continuous integration.
  • Provide solution models and perform code and design reviews to align with architecture direction.
  • Provide technical leadership for performance, security, and scalability.
  • Ensure compliance of new and existing applications with technology standards and policies.
  • Document system designs, development processes, and functions to improve knowledge management and information sharing.
  • Coordinate and manage development activities with onshore and offshore development team.
 
Position Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of senior systems development and architecture experience.
  • 3+ years developing cloud application development.
  • 2+ years with system engineering.
  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering and or relevant fields

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience developing Java based systems with frameworks like Spring Framework.
  • Experience with SDLC and Agile SCRUM development methodology.
  • Experience with Service Oriented Architecture (SOAP and REST), API Management, distributed systems and enterprise systems integration.
  • Experience with relational and NoSQL database
  • Working experience with security, performance and scalability related design and development for large scale enterprise cloud applications.
  • Experience with Micro Service Architecture
  • Comfortable working in a DevOps agile environment side by side with other developers.
  • Object-Oriented framework design and development.
  • Experience with Gradle build tools, GIT source control systems, and Jira.
  • Comfortable working in a DevOps agile environment side by side with other architects and developers.
  • Experience with AWS, Azure or other clouds environment.
