Production Welder (2nd Shift)

Monday - Thursday 2:30pm to 1:00am

  • Manufacture and fabricate finished metal products
  • Calculate material measurements to verify specifications
  • Conduct tests to evaluate weld quality and tolerance
  • Analyze blueprints/drawings, specifications, sketches, work order, and material safety data sheets to plan layout, assembly, and welding operations
  • Set up and adjust equipment
  • Perform efficient welding of various metal objects, including heavy and light gauge carbon steel, aluminum, and stainless, with the help of gas torch
  • Layout, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies prior to assembly, using straightedges, combination squares, calipers and rulers
  • Perform work with the help of various hand and power tools
  • Administer all welding activities such as riveting and welding small parts and finished parts
  • Maintain weld equipment and supplies
  • Complete paperwork/job sheets required for area
  • Must maintain excellent attendance, and expect to work overtime if the need requires
  • Performs other job related duties as assigned

Position Requirements
  • Ability to handle physical workload
  • Minimum of 2 years welding experience
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment a plus
  • Possess a solid understanding of welding equipment and welding accessories
  • Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, welding process specifications and welding symbols
  • Must have the ability to weld in all positions with good penetration and quality
  • Must be able to read a tape measure, pressure gauge, level and square
  • Ability and willingness to follow directions as well as the ability to work independently
  • Excellent verbal communication skills

Salary $12.00 - $16.00 per hour (DOE)
