Warehouse / Hot Shot Driver 



Applies to all activities and guidelines for operations performed by the Warehouse Coordinator/Hot Shot Driver. This job mainly receives, stores, and distributes materials, tools, equipment, and performs standard building housekeeping within the establishment by performing the following duties. This job description shall be reviewed as needed.


  • Receives and counts stock items and records shipment and storage of all company property, including assets and consumables can be completed manually or by automated system.
  • Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes those items.
  • Communicates inventory discrepancies immediately to the General Manager to ensure that inventory levels remain accurate and suitable for company requirements.
  • Maintains order and general upkeep of the warehouse and office building conditions.
  • Monitor supplier activity coming to the yard and Gate Attendant process if needed.
  • Inspects truck for defects before and after trips, and submits reports indicating truck condition.
  • Ensure equipment is properly secured when hauling.
  • Pick up and deliver material from approved vendors, painter locations, and rig moves.
  • Maintains driver log according to DOT regulations.
  • Other tasks may be assigned as needed.


  • Maintain accurate inventory and ensure all materials and tools meet company standards for use.
  • Maintain a clean work environment for the work place.
  • Accurate and timely completion of drier logs for DOT compliance and company policy.
Position Requirements

  • Education and Training – Must have a minimum 11th grade reading level in the English language. High school education or equivalent is preferred but not required.A valid Class A Driver’s License is required.

  • Skills - Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.Ability to write simple correspondence.Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

  • Technical Requirements – Knowledge of operating a handheld scanner and barcode reader equipment. Must be forklift certified. A general familiarity of computers and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Experience - Previous physical labor experience required or as deemed sufficient by management. Six months warehouse operations experience preferred.

  • Physical Demands - While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 80 pounds.

  • Working Conditions - While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions.The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Must be willing to work overtime, nights and weekends.
