Education: Master's degree in Library Science from an American Library Association (ALA) accredited school. Required Experience: A minimum of five years' experience in libraries, library management and discovery systems as well as a minimum of two years original cataloging experience applying current standards and systems to include: - Anglo-American Cataloguing Rules (AACR2)
- Machine Readable Cataloging (MARC21)
- Resource Description and Access (RDA)
- Library of Congress Classification (LCC)
- Library of Congress Subject Headings (LCSH)
- Library of Congress Program for Cooperative Cataloging (LC/PCC) and
- OCLC Connexion.
This position also requires experience in cataloging, and providing metadata for, digital formats. Â experience in cataloging in MARC and experience in creating and editing non-MARC metadata using standards and schema e.g. - Dublin Core
- Metadata Object Description Schema (MODS), etc., in addition to experience cataloging in MARC.
