Responsible for the supervision of all Beverage Associates ensuring operational standards and guest services are in accordance with Mille Lacs Corporate Ventures policies, procedures and Gaming Regulations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES OF THE POSITION:
Responsible for the supervision and training of Beverage Servers and Bartenders (if applicable) on an assigned shift.
Ensure the smooth and efficient service throughout all beverage facilities on property.
Conduct shift meetings with Beverage Servers and Bartenders (if applicable) assigning stations and facilitating the flow of information throughout the department.
Knowledge of all aspects of department including but not limited to payroll, ordering, repairs, etc.
Resolve all Associate relation issues as needed.
Scheduling of Associates on shift to ensure coverage.
Supervise and report to Manager all Associate call-ins and scheduling conflicts to ensure a property cost effective staffing level.
Promote outstanding guest services throughout the Casino resolving any guest dispute promptly and in a courteous manner.
Knowledge of all Tribal and State alcohol and gaming regulations and ensures adherence (if applicable).
Recommend and suggest hiring, suspending, transferring, disciplining and terminating of Associates.
Ensures the highest possible standards of guest service and associate relations are maintained and carried out in a fair and equitable manner.
Ensures compliance with all health and safety regulations.
Assists Beverage Manager with scheduling of associates and ensuring correct staffing levels and adjustments in accordance with guest needs and volume levels.
Monitors job performance of all venue service Associates and provides feedback to aid the Associates in developing and enhancing skills.
Promotes positive input to the Beverage Manager concerning operational deficiencies and areas in need of improvement.
Responsible for listening to, evaluating and handling guest complaints in a way that satisfies the guest.
Knowledge of Mille Lacs Corporate Ventures internal controls, policies and procedures.
Promotes self-development by participating in Learning and Development programs.
Responsible for maintaining all attendance records, floor charts, daily logs, time sheets and payroll.
Responsible for maintaining open communication throughout the venue, through daily pre-shift meetings.
Any and all other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Three (3) years of progressive restaurant experience, with one (1) year of Supervisory/Managerial experience or two (2) years of progressive Grand Casino restaurant experience required.
Serv-Safe Certification preferred.
Alcohol Awareness (CARE) Certification preferred.
If required, must be able to pass company pre-employment Drug and Alcohol test.
Must be able to secure license from Gaming Regulatory Authority, and follow all relevant DGR’s.
Mille Lacs Band Member and American Indian preference will be exercised in the hiring process.
Must be able to effectively communicate in one-on-one, small group situations, and to moderate-sized gatherings of Associates and/or executives.
Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, percentages, common fractions, and decimals.
Must be able to apply commonsense understanding to a variety of situations, in order to collect data, analyze facts, and determine appropriate response.
While performing the duties of this job, the Associate is regularly required to:
Talk and hear;
See and adjust focus to include close, distance, color, depth, and peripheral vision;
Stand, walk, run, sit, balance, stoop, kneel, climb, crouch and/or crawl;
Handle objects, tools and controls; reach with arms and hands;

While performing the duties of this job, the Associate is regularly exposed to:
A low-to-moderate noise level (offices).
A moderate-to-loud noise level (operations areas).
Second-hand cigarette/cigar smoke.
Moving mechanical and /or electrical components.
Chemical solutions such as cleaning, polishing and lubricating compounds.
