Description

Swanson Rink's mission is to provide our clients with a thorough, constructible, cost-effective, and well-coordinated design.  That's where you come in... Without talented experts in Revit MEP and AutoCAD such as yourself we would not be able to deliver the high quality design documents our clients have come to expect.  Are you a Revit Guru?  If you are interested in working on challenging and exciting projects and helping advance our Revit capabilities, this opportunity is for you!  This position is available in either our Denver or Phoenix office.

Provides Revit/CAD support for building systems design.  Disciplines include Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing. Incorporates redline revisions, prepares detailed scaled drawings for construction and graphic representations of MEP designs; generates relevant views of buildings and construction details; and performs other tasks as assigned.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  1. Accurately develops Autodesk Revit model views and sheet layouts for electrical distribution, lighting, special systems, HVAC duct/piping, plumbing and fire protection disciplines while applying Company documents/presentation standards and procedures to the project

  2. Determines and selects required procedures and methods including presentation formats, use of correct families, and management of relative scales

  3. Prepares finished drawings from engineering sketches and instructions

  4. Prepares assigned projects for the design team with required model preparation

  5. Assists team members with client requests for PDF’s

  6. May perform other tasks such as duplication, reproduction, and filing

  7. Actively manages media files, works with designers and engineers to identify files which may need to be retained for archives

  8. May guide the efforts of less experienced technicians, solve elementary space layout problems, and recommend minor design changes

Basic Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree in Computer Aided Drafting/Design or a degree in a closely related discipline

  • High level of proficiency with both Revit and AutoCAD attained through relevant work experience

  • Strong knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing design (attained through work-experience)

  • Must be a good communicator, team player and have excellent organization and coordination skills

  • Experience with Navisworks is preferred

  • Certification in Revit or Autodesk is preferred
