Job Summary

  • Baker Commodities utilizes a Microsoft Windows Server environment and seeks an addition to its IT staff. This position will be primarily responsible for the support of existing installed applications as well as the deployment of upgrades and report development in the Microsoft SQL Server environment. 
  • Good communication skills are essential as this individual will work directly with application users and department managers.

 

Essential Functions

  • Coordinates and participates in system testing in conjunction with other involved parties
  • Along with other members of the IT department, provides desktop support to all staff
  • Maintains and administers enterprise information systems applications
  • Evaluates and applies routine hardware and software application updates
  • Works closely with and supports multiple client user groups, including the testing, de-bugging and resolution of issues
  • Provides general end user IT support as needed
  • Works alongside with and supports other team members with various technology related projects

Position Requirements

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a computer science major or similar (preferred)

  • Must have a minimum of 4 years hands-on experience with

    1. Microsoft Windows Server 2008 & 2012 R2

    2. Microsoft SQL Server 2008 & 2012 R2 with proficiency in T-SQL, SSRS (Reporting), and Views and Stored Procedure development

    3. Microsoft Access

    4. ADP Enterprise HR V5 (SQL)

  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and be able to converse with all levels within the organization

  • Must maintain regular attendance and punctuality

  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds

  • Must be able to sit for extended periods of time
