Registration and Collections Management Intern - Museum 


The Registration and Collections Management intern will provide support for registration and collections management projects for a growing film-related Museum collection. The incumbent will be introduced to areas of registration and collections management including processing new acquisitions, exhibition registration, and long term collection storage solutions.

 Reports to: Head of Registration and Collection Management

 Duties and Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Assisting with processing permanent collection material including props, costume, film technology and memorabilia.
  • Assisting with collection storage, such as sewing custom hangers and/or moving objects within storage.
  • Assisting with ensuring collection and exhibition files are updated and maintained
Position Requirements
  • B.A. in Museum Studies, Art History, Archaeology or related field.
  • The ideal candidate will be enrolled in a Museum Studies program. Enrollment in other related Master’s degree programs may be considered, but Museum Studies is preferred.
  • Preferred for candidate to have previous Museum object handling experience and sewing skills.
