JOB SUMMARY

The Electrical Engineer 3 will perform electrical engineering product support. This position will assist in troubleshooting support for production and manufacturing, root cause investigations for field returns and follow on redesign and qualification activities. The Electrical Engineer 3 also independently works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors and utilizes creative ability, engineering skill and judgment in applying engineering principles. 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

May lead projects and be responsible for their overall planning and performance schedule.

Perform the root cause analysis of field or production failures and complete redesign of analog or digital circuits as necessary.

Coordinate, prepare, and review technical drawings, documents and data items.

Review, prepare, design, analyze, and test data to insure their accuracy and appropriateness.

Operate standard lab equipment to perform design verification and circuit testing.

Coordinate, organize, and participate in analysis, design, development and qualifications as assigned.

Prepare and present technical information in conjunction with Program management team to customers.

Act as technical liaison to other functional groups as required.

Interface with customer technical personnel.

Demonstrates ability and begins to use engineering software tools.

Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or other related bachelor’s degree required from a four-year college or university. 

Five years related experience

Experience desired:

  • Failure investigations and redesign of analog and digital circuits

  • Leading projects and being responsible for overall planning and schedule

  • Coordinating, preparing and reviewing technical drawings & documents

  • Reviewing, preparing, designing, analyzing and testing data to ensure accuracy

  • Operating standard lab equipment to perform design verification and circuit testing

  • Analysis, design, development and qualifications

  • Validating component equivalence to support cost out, risk management, and obsolescence in designs

  • Preparing and presenting technical information for customer meetings or internal evaluation meetings
