Description

The Payroll Operations Team is responsible for daily production of Payroll Checks and the Transmittal of electronic files.  The Payroll Operations Manager is responsible for leading the  team, delivering or exceeding SLAs, designing and executing strategies to be more effective and efficient, building a high performing team, working with colleagues in the Client Success organization and across the company, all in service to the goal of ensuring our clients are entirely satisfied with our deliverables. We hold service quality as a core value, and the Payroll Operations Manager will embody that value.

The qualified candidate has deep payroll taxation expertise. You have meaningful experience leading a team – you can select and develop great performers. The ideal candidate is highly detail- and process-oriented; you are metrics-oriented and you love to analyze how to improve efficiency and effectiveness, and you’re great at leading change.

This is a hands-on role.  The ideal candidate will be able to step into any of the roles to assist and train team members.

Broken down, you will be focusing on:

Team Leadership

  • Lead a team of 3-5 Operations associates
  • Provide coaching and mentoring
  • Hold the team to the highest standards
  • Foster a collaborative environment and promote cross-functional training
  • Report to executive leadership on activities, issues and achievements

Process Management

  • Oversee day to day operations of the Team, ensuring all work is complete in a timely manner and at a high quality standard
  • Collaborate with Client Services to identify client needs and address any issues in a timely manner
  • Identify and execute process improvements
  • Own year-end W-2 and ACA Processes
 
Position Requirements
  • Experience leading a team is required
  • Highly organized with exceptional follow-through
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changes on-the-fly
  • Payroll Operations and/or Data Transmissions experience is highly desired
