POSITION MISSION
Under general direction, the Client Services Director is responsible for achieving overall client satisfaction, profitability and revenue attainment goals for assigned accounts.  The Client Services Director is also responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities across an assigned territory and product portfolio. This role will position WECC to effectively and efficiently deliver financing, energy efficiency programs and acquire new business contracts that match WECC’s desired client profile. This position will be responsible for our Energy Finance Solutions (EFS) products and services nationally.

PRIMARY & ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Exceed sales and business development goals and objectives which include:

  • Manage the existing national client base
  • Secure new client contracts within specified product groups
  • In-person client meetings
  • Outbound calling
  • Responding to inquiries
  • Formal presentations

2. Prospect and promote EFS and WECC products for new clients

3. Develop long-term relationships to better serve our client base

4. Develop accurate revenue and forecasting plans - monthly, quarterly and annually

5. Utilize CRM systems for managing client communication, scheduling activities and sales reporting

6. Lead presentations promoting energy efficiency programs and services for targeted groups

7. Drive initiatives and work with a team focused approach for the development of proposals, presentations, RFP’s and RFI’s

8. Participate in marketing activities including trade shows, new product launches, regional events, memberships and seminars

9. Engage in continuous training activities including sales, marketing, communication and presentation

 

 
Position Requirements

Essential Skills and Experience

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field

  2. Five to seven years minimum outside sales or business development experience in the financing, utility or energy industry

  3. Verifiable track record of exceeding sales goals

  4. Energy industry expertise including the ability to work with a wide variety of clients at mid and senior levels

  5. Knowledge of state government and experience with governmental regulatory bodies

  6. Ability to effectively build rapport and relationships with internal and external customers at all levels while demonstrating awareness of their needs and responding appropriatel

  7. Excellent presentation skills and superior listening skills

  8. Ability to effectively solve problems using traditional and non-traditional techniques

  9. Must be self-motivated and able to work independently to meet established goals and objectives

  10. Assignment, prioritization and meeting critical deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  11. Effective organizational skills

  12. Willingness to travel to client meetings or industry events as needed (up to 40% anticipated)

  13. Proficiency using MS Office Suite

  14. Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool experience
