SUMMARY
Sell access control, video surveillance, and other security products and services to business, institutional, and industrial establishments or individuals at sales office or customer's place of business in IL, IN, WI by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. This list of duties and responsibilities is a starting point for expectations. Other duties may be assigned as your abilities grow and as you gain experience.
-Coordinate with SI Operations Manager and other members of the SI Dept on products, systems, methods, and best practices for products and services to be sold.
-Compile lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from Internet Web sites, business directories, industry ads, trade shows, , and other sources. (Prospect lists for this position should have greater focus on Enterprise level and green-field type opportunities throughout diverse vertical markets in Higher Education, K-12, Healthcare, Government, Property Management, and Industrial…outside the current LaForce Sales Channels of Contract and Aftermarket Sales).
- Researches prospects in advance to qualify and prioritize them before initial sales contact.
- Travel throughout assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders, meet with customers at their place of business or at the LaForce office, communicate via email, or talk with customers by phone.
-Develop customer marketing in conjunction with the Marketing Department.
-Proactively schedule sales activities and update info as appropriate in Lotus Notes CRM.
-Enter new customer data and accurately maintain current customer data and quote/job info using Lotus Notes CRM and the SI Manager application.
-Display and demonstrate products using samples, electronic/digital resources, and marketing literature emphasizing salable features.
-Quote prices and credit terms, and prepare sales contracts for orders obtained.
-Estimate date(s) of delivery to customer, based on experience, commitments from department processors, vendors, and knowledge of own firm's production and delivery schedules.
-Follow up on quotes to customers to determine if and or when the quote/project will proceed into an order.
-Communicate with inside sales/support staff daily on status of quotes, orders, issues, or customer service questions from customer.
-Review paper work, quotes, and orders that are compiled and/or completed by inside sales/support person.
-Work with inside sales representatives to keep account activities and literature up to date.
-Convert quotes into orders.
-Submit specifications and/or drawings as required.
-Create and/or handle all appropriate paperwork involved with order processing, shop work orders, and installation guidelines.
-Contact Vendors to check availability of products and communicate with inside sales staff and customers about updates.
-Assemble appropriate paperwork for processing of sales orders and file electronically in RDM (Retail Document Management).
-Investigate and resolve customer problems with deliveries.
-Investigate and resolve call-back issues.
-Process RRG’s (Returned/Replacement Goods) when required, by completing appropriate forms and shipping material either to LaForce Branch or the vendor as required.
-Prepare reports of business transactions and keep expense accounts as required.
-Coordinate efforts with other LaForce sales channels as appropriate.
-Develops and maintains relationships with purchasing contacts.
-Continuously improve knowledge of products and systems, and participate in available training.
-Attend trade shows and industry events as appropriate.
-Mentor and teach new and/or upcoming employees.
-Other Sales Activities and responsibilities as required and coordinated with management.
