IT Technician II 

Description SUMMARY
Provide support and guidance to the Tier I staff and the Muscogee Creek Nation Casinos environment. This includes installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all PC hardware and equipment to ensure optimal workstation performance. The person will also troubleshoot problem areas (in person, by telephone, or via e-mail) in a timely, accurate fashion, and provide end-user assistance where required. Assist with leading the front line support for IT and provide great customer service. Other duties or projects, as assigned.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
1. Assist, mentor, and coordinate IT Technician I and II positions with end user PC, printer, software, point of sale and telephony issues.
2. Attend a variety of meetings for the purpose of providing and/or gathering pertinent information for IT and Tier I team.
3. Cross-train with other Tiers to better understand required information on escalation.
4. Research topics for the purpose of making recommendations regarding vendors to use for repairs and/or supplies.
5. Serves as a technical resource to the IT Technicians I and II and Site Coordinator for the purpose of assisting with resolving issues, guiding and enhancing their professional skills.
6. Perform post-resolution follow ups with Technicians as required.
7. Build strong end-user relationships by keeping commitments and having a strong customer service-orientated approach at providing support.
8. Monitor and assist in inventory control process.
9. Create, review, and update documentation on resolutions and troubleshooting.
10. Perform preventative maintenance, including checking and cleaning of servers, cable dressing, cleaning of front office systems.
11. Ensure the quantity and quality of work performed by Tier I.
12. Assist the Site Coordinator in developing cost estimates for projects and other tasks as needed.

Position Requirements QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION
Associate degree in the field of computer science, MIS, computer information systems or information systems and/or combination of education & experience. Preferred Certifications: A+, Network+, Security+, CCNA, MOUS.

EXPERIENCE
• 5-7 years related work experience in the field of Information Technology
• Excellent technical knowledge of PC and desktop hardware
• Excellent technical knowledge of PC internal components
• Hands-on hardware and desktop application troubleshooting experience
• Extensive equipment support experience with laptops, applications, desktops
• Working technical knowledge of current protocols, operating systems, and standards
 
Gaming License Must obtain and maintain a gaming license.
