About the Job

This position is responsible for performing and verifying stockroom functions; tool control, prepares, maintains and processes required documentation and reports; completes and processes automated system transactions; insures the integrity and timeliness of assigned work.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all new company tools are properly received, marked and stored.  Track tools throughout their life use to include disposal.  Responsible for monitoring, maintenance of and reporting lost/broken tools for repair/replacement.
  • Oversee scheduled and unscheduled calibration activities with vendors.  Responsible for certificate record retention. Calibration to include but not limited to calibrated tools, gauges, and test equipment.
  • Confirm compliance of preventative maintenance and inspection on tools/components issued by the tool room.
  • Ensure the security, integrity, quality, accuracy and timely processing of inventory; tool or part in accordance with procedure and checked back in after use in a timely manner.
  • Interfaces with users for over the counter sales, etc., as required to perform assigned functions.
  • Performs receiving, warehouse, stockroom or shipping duties, as assigned, processing automated transactions by use of data processing equipment and in accordance with company procedures and policies.  Prepare shipping manifests and documentation along with exporting declaration certificates.
  • Performs duties in a safe manner in accordance with Company safety standards and procedures, notifying the Lead Material Handler or management of any unsafe or hazardous equipment or work facility.
  • Other duties may be assigned by management to meet departmental goals
  • Identifies, verifies, counts and processes all incoming and outgoing materials and documentation utilizing a data processing system and in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Responds to after-hours support requests, as assigned, preparing documentation and completing data processing transactions as described by company policies and procedures.
  • Performs general tasks, as required, which includes, but not limited to unloading trucks, operating forklifts, placing and storing parts, unpacking and packing parts, general housekeeping, operating various equipment such as scales, etc.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school graduate or GED
  • One year tool room experience preferably in aviation stockroom
  • One year experience processing material receipts and shipments using computerized inventory control system
  • Must have valid US driver's license
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft office software applications
  • Adaptable to shift work on an as needed basis and rotating weekends
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external customers in a professional manner

Desired Qualifications:

  • Basic knowledge of Corridor
  • Forklift Operator Qualified
  • Hazard Material shipment certification
  • International Air Transportation Association certification
  • Export documentation preparation for material shipments
  • Previous Repair Station Receiving Inspection experience
  • Electric Static Discharge material handling experience
  • Knowledge of aircraft parts preferred
