SUMMARY OF POSITION
This position is responsible for developing sales strategies and growing customer base within a defined territory/geography through face-to-face visits and networking. In addition, this position is responsible for sales, distribution, and promotion of specific products to accounts in an assigned territory with the objective to meet/exceed assigned volume and product goals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties as assigned)
Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
At least five years of outside sales experience in a business-to-consumer environment.
Proven track record in growing customer base.
Excellent presentation skills.
Strong sales and decision-making skills.
Acute attention to detail.
Ability to prioritize work projects.
Excellent communication and relationship building skills.
Comfort working with all levels of individuals.
Effective time management skills.
Good working knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint and interest and ability to learn company specific programs.
Proven success in working independently.
Ability to travel 60-70% within primary territory, 5-10% outside of territory
