Share Email Opening Title 2017 Online Reader/Evaluator Position for New Applicants  Description NOTE: All remote scoring positions for the 2017 Scoring Season have been filled. You may still complete an application; however, you will not be considered for a position until we start recruiting again for the 2018 Scoring Season. Dear New Applicant: Thank you for your interest in employment as a Reader/Evaluator with Measurement Incorporated. If you are hired as a Reader/Evaluator, you will be placed into our qualified reader pool for the upcoming scoring season. You will be eligible to work on projects that fit your qualifications and schedule. Many projects require readers to score essays for content, organization, grammatical conventions, and/or the student’s ability to communicate and to respond to a specific directive. Other projects involve scoring test items in reading, math, science, social studies, or other subject areas. The tests our readers score come from many different states and from students at all grade levels, elementary through college, depending on the project. Each project has its own scoring criteria; therefore, we conduct paid training at the beginning of each project. Reader/Evaluators must be able to accept and apply the scoring criteria as directed and maintain consistent and reliable scoring results throughout the project. They also must be willing to operate in a repetitive task situation while maintaining confidentiality and project security. Most of our online projects are scheduled in the Spring as most school districts test during that time. We occasionally have online work in the fall; however these projects are usually reserved for experienced readers. Beginning pay for a Reader/Evaluator is $11.70 per hour. Readers will be eligible to earn pay raises with experience and proven performance. If hired, you will be asked to register in our payroll system and set up direct deposit if you have a bank account.
