Place of Performance: Joint Base Maguire-Dix-Lakehurst (specifically Navy Lakehurst)
Organization Supported: NAVAIR
a. Providing environmental leadership and information for the organization;
b. Completing all on-base environmental training courses;
c. Attending Cross Functional Team, Environmental Compliance Assessment and Management Program, UEC, and Hazardous Materials Management Process meetings;
d. Ensuring ALL organizational personnel are familiar with environmental initiatives and requirements;
e. Identifying organizational-specific processes and activities that may affect the environment;
f. Establishing, tracking, and achieving objectives and targets to address significant environmental impacts (if any);
g. Direct changes to relevant processes or tasks within the organization as authorized.
h. Ensure an adequate and clearly identified collection point is provided within each building that generates recyclable material. Encourage or require as applicable all personnel generating recyclable material to deposit their materials at these stations.
i. Ensure all employees receive information on the implementation of this regulation and adequate resources to comply with the directions set forth.
j. Ensure recyclable materials are collected, source segregated and turned into the Recycling Center.
k. Provide containers for each type of waste paper. Collection containers may be obtained from the Recycling Center.
l. Refer any problems to the building custodian and the QRP manager.
m. Conduct periodic walk-through inspections of unit work centers to ensure compliance with this regulation.
n. Ensure all recyclable industrial scrap turned in to DLA is properly processed.
o. Coordinate PPE and industrial supply purchases.
p. Coordinate Jet Car Track Fuel System Maintenance.
q. Participate in NAVAIR Spill Response.
r. Coordinate Air Permit Annual Training with mandated shops.
Prior military experience as a Unit Environmental Coordinator preferred but not required.
Must be a US citizen and be able to obtain a security clearance.
