Food and Beverage Shift Manager 

Description SUMMARY
Supervises and schedules all staff who work in food and beverage area; oversees the daily operations—preparation and service of food and beverages throughout the casino. Works with manager and staff to communicate and implement department's strategic plans and budget. Hires, manages, directs and develops staff; prepares and conducts performance reviews.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
1. Supervises staff and manages the day-to-day operations of the food and beverage operations.
2. Performs supervisory functions such as hiring, training, evaluating and providing feedback to staff; creating effective employee performance.
3. Implements and communicates department's strategic business plans and goals.
4. Maintains high food and beverage quality, outstanding customer service and attractive menu offerings.
5. Controls and maintains an adequate inventory to meet all catering needs.
6. Controls food production to ensure proper cooking methods, time and temperature are used; ensures that beverages are proper temperature.
7. Ensures quality customer service through effective scheduling, maintaining high standard of service while using minimum labor hours; ensures all food and beverage requests are filled promptly.
8. Conducts training or assigns and supervises training of new staff members and ensures all employees are following standard guidelines for food and beverage service.
9. Monitors and ensures cleanliness of food and beverage preparation, service area, and equipment; monitors staff so that all health standards and regulations are followed.
10. Assists in cost control by analyzing food and beverage use, sales and waste; captures information in report form for the manager.
11. Assumes/performs additional duties as assigned.


 
Position Requirements QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION
Associate's Degree in Business or the culinary field.
Bachelor's Degree preferred.

EXPERIENCE
2+ year supervisory experience in full service food and beverage operation
Must have working knowledge of Oklahoma Health Department codes
Casino experience preferred.
 
Gaming License Must obtain and maintain a Gaming License.
