Summary: The Electronic Banking Specialist is responsible for the timely and accurate processing of ACH, wires, remote deposit functions, and check card disputes, in accordance with NACHA rules, Regulation E, VISA regulations and other applicable regulation.  They will also be responsible for enhanced support to both internal and external customers, handling training, initial setups, and ongoing support for wire and ACH services to business customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Process check card dispute, including investigation, issuance and tracking of provisional credit in accordance to timeframes set forth by Regulation E and VISA
  • Responsible for check card maintenance, including activations, reissues, monitoring and troubleshooting
  • Receipt, review and processing of in and outbound wire transfers in accordance to written procedures
  • Perform call back verifications for wire requests to mitigate fraud and reduce potential errors
  • Process daily incoming ACH files and outbound ACH origination files
  • Customer notification of Notifications of Change (NOC) and return items
  • Process, monitor, and assist with troubleshooting items deposited through Remote Deposit Anywhere product
  • Coordinate with Cash Management Business Support to offer training and setup assistance to business customers for ACH and wire origination services, as well as ongoing monitoring
  • Assist with audit preparation and resolution of identified issues
  • Assist in identification, investigation, and escalation of fraud across all electronic payment systems
  • Obtain information needed to reconcile differences with other FI’s or correspondent banks
  • Work across various departments to troubleshoot and answer questions for customers and employees related to electronic services
  • Interacts with vendors in support of system processing related issues
  • Perform scanning and indexing of all departmental paperwork
  • Assist bookkeeping staff with customer support, balancing, maintenance and other duties as assigned
  • Identify and assist in implementation of efficiencies and enhancements to improve customer experience
  • Maintains working knowledge of and stay abreast of changes to Regulation E, NACHA rules, and other regulation affecting assigned services and products
  • Work independently and as a team to deliver Incredible Customer Experience to both internal and external customers
