Non-profit Morgan's Wonderland is the very first theme park of its kind. The park has welcomed guests from all 50 states and 50 other countries.

Admission for those with special needs is free; admission fees for accompanying family members, friends, caregivers and the general public are nominal.

Job Description

Assists the Entertainment Director in developing and implementing strategies for the successful production of stage shows, interactive performances, and other entertainment programming at Morgan's Wonderland.

Responsibilities/Accountabilities

  1. Assist the Entertainment Director in booking talent and developing performance schedules
  2. Provide performance schedules and call times to talent and crew
  3. Act as point of contact for talent and crew on the day of performance
  4. Oversee sets and props, including setup and takedown as necessary
  5. Manage care and cleaning of costumes
  6. Oversee the technical aspects of performance (such as running sound and lights)
  7. Perform in shows when regular talent is unavailable
  8. Write post-show evaluations, and post them online for talent and crew to review
  9. Other duties as assigned 
 
Position Requirements

Mandatory and Desired Qualifications Education / Training:

Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, including the use of Outlook, Excel and Word.

Social Media Skills: Proficient in Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Instagram.

Business Skills: Strong multi-tasking and organizational abilities; attention to detail; excellent written, verbal, and phone communication skills. Must possess strong interpersonal and leadership skills and maintain effective working relations. Experience in customer service highly recommended. Bilingual a plus, but not required.

Personal Qualities: Enthusiasm for the park's mission of inclusion; sensitivity to individuals with special needs; creative thinking and problem solving skills; ability to lift up to 50 pounds; working knowledge of the neighborhoods, subdivisions, and roads of San Antonio. Reliable transportation required.  High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.

Experience: The ideal candidate must possess experience in stage sound and lighting, as well as stage management and performance. Experience in puppetry, singing, and dancing is welcome, but not required.
