SUMMARY
To act as an Inside Salesperson by estimating, scheduling, project managing, and entering orders for our customer ASI (one main customer with several contacts). Additionally, to occasionally follow up with ASI at their Milwaukee facility along with the Outside Salesperson, to develop relationships with them that will allow us the opportunity to provide our goods and services on their projects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. This list of duties and responsibilities is a starting point for expectations. Other duties may be assigned as your abilities grow and as you gain experience.
-Analyze customer needs in detail to create a quote. This includes pricing material from manufacturers and communicating with sales staff regarding the order.
-Create and modify AutoCAD drawings in support of ASI orders and LaForce custom manufactured doors and frames.
-Research products as needed to see if they will meet the customer’s needs.
-Effectively communicate with sales staff on an ongoing basis regarding sales orders and customer contact.
-Responsible for following up on quotes to a customer. Must be able to determine if/when the project will precede into an order.
-Responsible for converting quotes into an order. This includes entering customer data into LaForce’ database, handling all appropriate paperwork, and communicating credit terms to customers. Also, you will be responsible for preparing sales contracts for orders obtained.
-Effectively communicates with the customer throughout a project. This includes troubleshooting and being able to address any questions. Must be able to investigate and effectively resolve customer’s problems.
-Communicates and resolves issues surrounding product availability. Communicate with sales staff and customers as needed.
-Handles customer requests in an efficient and timely manner. These requests include orders, customer service questions, lead times and installation dates.
-Communicate delivery date to the customer. This includes developing an estimated delivery date based on commitments from departments, vendors and knowledge of LaForce’s production and delivery schedules.
-Develops and maintains relationships with purchasing contacts. Understand and develop techniques that foster relationship selling. This will include effective communication and follow up with the customer.
-Develop technical aspects of the business that allow you to resolve many field problems and to become a resource for your customer’s needs.
-Possess a good understanding and expertise in the LaForce system of doing business. Also maintain knowledge and continue to educate oneself on product knowledge and systems.
-Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of all departments within LaForce and how to utilize each area of expertise.
- Responsible for effectively communicating with employees throughout the Company. Be able to communicate questions and issues appropriately to help develop the best solution.
-Develop customer marketing with sales staff, in conjunction with the marketing department.
-Process RRG’s (Returned/Replace Goods) when required, by completing appropriate forms and shipping material either to Green Bay or the vendor as required.
-Mentor and teach new and/or upcoming employees
-Responsibility to coordinate efforts with other aftermarket sales people as well as with contract sales people.
