Talent Acquisition Intern 


Position Summary:

The Talent Acquisition Intern will gain valuable work experience in the Human Resources field through Vectorworks, Inc. Internship Program.

While flexible in the number of hours worked each week (16 - 20 per week), this is a paid position that will run from Sept 11th through Dec 15th, 2017.


  • Assist Talent Acquisition and HR Specialists in all phases of the recruitment process, including posting advertisements, screening resumes, conducting applicant telephone screenings, scheduling interviews, and pre-employment screening
  • Coordinate initial screenings, technical phone interviews, and follow up onsite/Skype interviews
  • Assist in collecting feedback from hiring managers after interviews and follow up with active candidates
  • Research alternative ways to recruit talent, as well as attend job fairs and networking events, conduct resume database searches, and make cold calls
  • Assist in conducting new hire orientation meetings to include the completion of new hire forms and an explanation of company benefits, personnel policies, and procedures
  • Maintain employee confidence and protect operations integrity by keeping human resource material confidential.
  • Assist in supporting the expansion of the internship program
  • Assist in expanding the onboarding program
  • Complete research projects on HR related topics as assigned
  • Make photocopies and performs other clerical functions
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, management or a related field (junior/senior or recent graduate)

Position Requirements

You would be a great fit for this role if you:

  • Are proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

  • Have problem-solving, and strong interpersonal communication skills

  • Have an ability to convey compelling messages, both in person and in writing

  • Love planning & organizing, and have excellent attention to detail

  • Able to show initiative, multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines

You would be an even better fit for this role if you have:

  • Prior work experience in a human resources and/or staffing environment

  • A positive attitude and willingness to work with the team to achieve the HR departmental goals

2017-2018 Internship sessions:

  • Fall: Sept 11 - Dec 15
  • Spring: Jan 17 - May 11
  • Summer: June 4 - Aug 24
