Operator capable of performing skilled work in setting up and operating a standard AMADA Press Brake machinery to form sheet metal to precision tolerances. Reports to Brake department lead or/and Shop management.

Sets up and performs BRAKE operations on AMADA style Brake Machinery to specifications of work orders and fabrication prints/drawings without supervision.
Must be able to read and interpret mechanical drawings or fabrication prints as needed for accurate and safe brake operation.
Must understand and calculate bend deduction allowances as required to properly and safely set up AMADA air bend tooling.
Applicant must be able to follows work order directions and safely produces required quantity of parts efficiently and within the required tolerance and cosmetic quality.
Must follow all safety rules regarding machine operation and proper guarding.
Applicant is required to perform inspection on own work to prove required dimensional tolerances and cosmetic requirements are met
Completes work priorities as assigned by Brake Department Lead and SHOP supervisors.
Must cooperate with other employees in the department to maintain a safe working environment.
Must complete time and data entry into company data acquisition system in accordance with company policy.
Must performs light level daily maintenance on assigned brake press equipment.
Understands and follows company quality policy.


Position Requirements


Sufficient speaking, reading and writing ability in English in order to follow lead directions or work instructions.
Must be able to read and interpret blueprints or mechanical drawings involving brake operations.
Must possess sufficient visual acuity (correctable) to read instructions, safely operate machines, and visually inspect parts produced.
Must know how to safely set up and run AMADA style Brake machinery
Sufficient manual dexterity to operate machines safely and properly.
Physical ability to do work requiring frequent lifting, stooping and bending.
Physical strength sufficient to lift and carry 75 pounds.
High School graduate or better is preferred
At least 3 to 7 years of experience in sheet metal precision press brake operations
A stable work history

1st and 2nd shift positions available

1st shfit hours: Monday - Friday 6:00am to 2:30pm

2nd shift hours: Monday - Thursday 2:30pm to 1:00am
