Provides operational subject matter expertise for database management of Order of Battle Database (OBD), Tactical Information (TACINFO), and the SMAC SharePoint.

Provideds overarching requirements analysis and operational support to SMAC and geographic AOC personnel.

Provides daily on-site support, with increased focus on major exercises (up to approximately 4 per year). 

Provides operational management of the SMAC database requirements as applicable to applications supporting SMAC planning and offensive execution functions and interactions with intelligence functions, especially target planning and threat database management.

Manage OBD and TACINFO standards; coordinate AF/Joint/Allied/Coalition friendly order of battle inputs to ensure standards are maintained.

Facilitate other service C2 data exchange via applications or established Interface Control Document (ICD) standards.

Develop functional checklists to assists operators with managing and using SMAC database capabilities.

Identify and define future SMAC system requirements.

Participate in operational planning, fielding verification and validation of SMAC upgrades and modifications.

Participate in DT&E and OT&E as Database Manager.

Provide specific training to new and existing SMAC personnel to include the proper management and access of SMAC database information.

Position Requirements
  •  Bachelor’s degree in Technical, Engineering, or Computer Information Systems related degree required or equivalent related military work experience (United States Air Force [USAF], United States Navy [USN] or United States Marine Corp [USMC]).
  •  Demonstrated knowledge and experience of AOC C2 of air assets in joint and combined operations.
  •  Participation in SMAC exercises or operations as a Database Manager. Real world contingency experience in AOC Combat Plans or Combat Operations Division is highly desired.
  •  Experience supporting AOC operations within classified environments to include SIPRNet and JWICS.
  •  T1 and T2 certification(s) IAW DoD Manual 8570.1-M, if system administrative privileges are required on site.
  • Travel in support of operations in support of war, contingency and humanitarian operations, exercises and experiments that may require CONUS and OCONUS travel.
  •  Three years’ experience in AOC Combat Plans and Combat Operations applications and management of OBD and TACINFO.

             The following are highly desired qualifications.

  •             Air Staff, MAJCOM or NAF staff experience.
  •              Five years’ experience in AOC Combat Plans and Combat Operations     applications and management of OBD and TACINFO
  • DOD TS/SCI Security clearance
