Network Specialist 


Support the stable operation of the in-house computer network under the direction of the Network Analyst. This includes planning, designing, installing, configuring, maintaining, and optimizing all network hardware, software, and communication links while ensuring minimal network downtime. The person will also diagnose, resolve, and document hardware and software network problems in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide end user training and support where required. Other duties or projects, as assigned.

Install and configure routers, switches, firewalls, and other network equipment.
Provide guidance, training and support for Tier I and Tier II on network issues.
Collaborate with Network Analysts and Sr. Network Analyst to maintain optimal network design topologies and configurations.
Maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot all network issues including switched VLAN environments, routers and routing protocols.
Maintain all network hardware and equipment, including routers, switches, APs, and phones.
Monitor and test network performance and provide network performance statistics andreports.
Recommend, schedule, and perform network improvements, upgrades, andrepairs.
Adhere to and complete project tasks within assigned timeframes.
Support development and implementation of networking projects and new technologyinstallations.
Conduct research on network products, services, protocols, and standards in support ofnetworkprocurementanddevelopmentefforts.
Write technical specifications for purchase of networking hardware and softwareproducts.
Practice network asset management, including maintenance of network componentinventory.
Prepare and ensure accuracy of documentation, procedures manuals, and help sheets for network installations, including data, voice, and video systems. 


Position Requirements

Associate’s Degree in Computer Technology, Networking, or a related technical field and/or combination of education & experience.
Preferred Certifications: Network+, CCNA

5 years equivalent work experience innetworking.
Working technical knowledge of network and PC operating systems, including Microsoft 7, Server Operating systems, Cisco iOS and NXOS, etc.
Extensive application support exerience within WANs, LANs, Wireless, Call systems.
Working technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and standards.
Ability to operate network component analyzers, scanners, and testers.

Gaming License Must obtain and maintain a Gaming License.
