Description

The Senior Payroll Business Analyst is responsible for producing high quality general ledger files, retirement files and custom reports to meet our customers’ varied business needs. Our goal is to provide the best product and service quality in the Human Capital Management industry; to achieve that goal, our staff must be payroll experts and product experts, and bring a true dedication to service quality.

  • Manage payroll projects (general ledger files, 401k files, complex report writing, etc.) independently on behalf of clients.Including collecting, analyzing and documenting client requirements for files/reports that need to be written.

  • Programming the file using products available or writing up file specifications for a programmer to use.

  • Testing all files and/or reports to verify format and information is correct.

  • Communicating with Implementations, Project Management and the clients as to the status of projects and timelines in order to meet due dates.

  • Documents and retains records related to client communications; creates notes in Salesforce to document information exchanged and actions agreed upon; retains electronic mail communications with clients.

  • Participate in product calls as needed and requested.

  • Recommends to management for process improvements for customer-service improvements to support the efficient delivery of high-quality services, and to ensure internal processes and client-facing documents are current and in support of Ascentis corporate goals; interfacing with clients to management to recommend areas for improvement in services.

 
Position Requirements
  • 10+ years’ experiencein payroll required

  • Excellent written communication, verbal communication, active listening, and presentation skills

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with little direct supervision.

  • Detail oriented and process driven.

  • Strong organizational, analytical, priority setting, and time management skills

  • Ability to communicate well with both technical and non-technical people with a great deal of patience.

  • Ability to work on many clients and projects at the same time.

  • Self-starter and ability to think outside the box.

  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment.

  • Ability to project a positive, diplomatic, and professional service attitude.
