Share Email Opening Title Garage Clerk / Runner  Great Info   Location Vernon, CA   Description Position Description: Upon receipt of work order or oral instructions for part order; contacts part vendor, orders parts and picks up parts at vendor location several times a day Drop off and pick up company vehicles with another employee at various locations Load and unload truck parts by hand and move said parts to designated work areas or storage areas on site Load and unload heavy truck parts with industrial equipment like forklifts, hoists, and lift gates on company vehicles and move said parts to designated work areas or storage areas on site Prepare vehicle work orders, enter data into maintenance system and file vehicle work orders into designated filing cabinets Log work orders related to Preventative Maintenance and 90 day repair into designated books and filing cabinets Apply vehicle registrations and decals onto company vehicles Clean/wash work areas, machines, and equipment with shop air, broom, mop, and industrial water hose Detail wash parts with industrial steam cleaner machine Will work with heavy truck chemicals such as diesel, gasoline, propane, engine oil, coolant, hydraulic oil and related solvents Will work with corrosive chemicals such as caustic and sulfuric acids on occasion Perform other duties as assigned   Position Benefits: Medical, dental and vision coverage offered 401(k) With Employer Contribution Paid holidays Paid vacation and sick time Company sponsored life insurance Company sponsored short and long-term disability   Position Requirements Position Requirements: Must have a high School Diploma or equivalent Maintain a valid Class C driver's license Have experience with data entry and Microsoft Office software Be able to frequently lift 50 lbs and occasionally lift up to 100lbs Be able to climb and not be afraid of heights Have vendor relation skills Have open availability Monday through Friday from 6am to 5pm   Benefits   Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time   Shift Days   Exempt/Non-Exempt Non-Exempt   About the Organization Baker Commodities Inc. has been in business for over 80 years.
