JOB STATEMENT: The Winery Supervisor is knowledgeable of winery or beverage manufacturing procedures and processing equipment, and directs and monitors daily operations during assigned shift, co-leading a workforce personnel with the assistance of the Superintendent, and the Sub-Foreman.



· Co-lead an hourly work force

· Monitor cellar jobs in process

· Review and approve process orders to be started on the shift

· Review and approve completed process orders

· Review processing equipment logs

· Maintain a safe and orderly work place

· Employee relations (includes discipline as needed)

· Follow ISO regulations


· Departmental safety inspections

· Monitor tank top conditions and sanitation

· Inspect cleaning / sanitation chemical storage area

· Review and approve employee time sheets (bi-weekly)

· Write up any equipment repair or safety work orders


· Hold tailgate safety meetings

· Inspect safety equipment and maintain ready-for-use

· Attend scheduled meetings as needed


· Must read, write and speak English

· Minimum of 1-3 years of supervisory experience

· Knowledge of winery or beverage manufacturing processing equipment; safety equipment, standard processing procedures and company safety procedures

· Be reliable, have a good work ethic, and have a desire to develop skills to advance within company

· Adhere to and enforce all company safety procedures

· Be team oriented, with good time management and critical thinking skills

· Have good attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment

· Ability to troubleshoot production problems

· Computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel

· Availability for any shift, including flexible hours and overtime


The physical demands to successfully perform the essential duties of this job are represented below.

Employee required to:

· Lift up to 75 lbs. occasionally

· Frequent walking and climbing stairs


Employee will be exposed to:

· Moving machinery

· Exposure to dust, gases, fumes or other substances

· Occasional driving (forklift, bicycle)

· Indoor/outdoor climate


All employees must be trained and familiar with Bronco Wine Company’s Injury and Illness Prevention Program

· Report any accidents and any unsafe conditions to your supervisor immediately

· Personal Protective Equipment Required: Side shield safety glasses, head/ear protection and proper footwear when in production facility
