Description

D3 Air & Space Operations has contingency openings for Patriot Excalibur (PEX) System Administrators at Creech AFB, NV.

The PEX administrator is the individual responsible for the maintenance, operation and training for the wing wide PEX system.

The Contractor will ensure the PEX servers have all required software patches and can operate on the Air Force computer network.

The Contractor will plan upgrades to the servers at such a time to have minimal impact on daily operations.

The Contractor will schedule and upgrade the PEX system software as updates become available from the PEX vendor.  These upgrades will be scheduled with the PEX vendor and shall be planned to have minimal impact on daily operations.

The Contractor will ensure unit personnel are trained for their job interfacing with the PEX system.

The Contractor will work with Wing/Group OSS Scheduling to develop procedures to utilize PEX for scheduling functions.

The Contractor will train scheduling personnel how to interface with the PEX system according to developed procedures.

The Contractor will provide periodic training sessions covering all the modules in PEX to unit personnel as requested by units.

The Contractor will compile inputs for improvements to the PEX system and provide them as required for the PEX Requirements Working Group.

The Contractor will test new versions back-up PEX databases weekly and recommend improvements as requested.

The Contractor will interface with Wing Plans and Programs to ensure all requirements of AFIs are met, on a timeline to being accomplished or a waiver to those requirements are in place.

Position Patriot Excalibur (PEX) System Administrator  
Position Requirements

Minimum of Five (5) years of experience working with the PEX system and either:

1) Two (2) years of experience working as a PEX administrator within the last four (4) years

OR

2) Attendance within the last twelve (12) months of the PEX Administrator course taught by the PEX vendor or approved equivalent course.

Highly Desired Qualifiations

Possess at least 2 years’ experience training individuals on PEX functions such as Scheduling, Qualification/Training, Standardization/Evaluation, or Administration

Top Secret Security Clearance Required
