Inventory Control Coordinator 


Job Statement

The Inventory Control Coordinator Level I must be familiar with all Level I ICC procedures and responsibilities. Manage all incoming raw materials; daily set-up, reconciliations, and stage all inventory. Analyze and report shortages to shift supervisor and Material Resource Coordinator (MRC). Investigate and resolve inventory and receiving discrepancies with MRC.

Position Requirements

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (PC), including Word and Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills, oral and written.
  • Good customer service skills.
  • Resourceful, detail-oriented, with good organizational skills.
  • A proven multi-tasking team player, as well as an independent worker.
  • Must have positive attitude, a willingness to get the job done, and an ability to work under the direction of others.
  • Proven ability in supporting multiple projects and working in a fast-paced changing environment.
  • Must have the ability to become forklift certified.


  • Understand and comply with all ISO9001, HACCP and GMP requirements and processes.
  • Coordinate and oversee all incoming materials; labels, corks, bottles, foils, etc.
  • Stage materials for the production line; enough material for three shifts of production.
  • Manage and stack the label room with one week of production for each line.
  • Coordinate and communicate with the forklift drivers of any glass that may be in inventory to be put onto the production line before running the newly received glass shipment.
  • Communicate with Quality Control about any materials that may be on hold one day prior to production, which will ensure any holds inspected 24 hours in advance.
  • Read and understand bottling schedule.
  • Read and understand Shop Orders (SO’s) and learn SO binder.
  • Upkeep rack sheet (maintain material movements on rack sheets).
  • Receive material – corks, capsules & labels (unload trucks, verify packing lists).
  • Enter material received into QA inspection log.
  • Enter materials received in to IFS System.
  • Perform inventory counts of racks / rows.
  • Be aware of current bottling production / changes to the schedule.
  • Check for paperwork in office “mail box”.
  • Notify MRC’s when it appears labels will be short.
  • Verify and process all paperwork for glass shipments and bill of ladings.
  • Coordinate product returns with Quality Assurance (QA) and MRC.
  • Product holds are to be labeled on rack sheets and set aside accordingly.
  • Requires operating a forklift in safe manner and maintaining forklift certification.
  • Perform End of Run (ER) counts.
  • Transfer material between sites (Sonoma and Ceres).
  • Organize warehouse.
  • Communicate on 2 way radio.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Manager.
