Food & Beverage Shift Manager

SUMMARY

Provides leadership and supervision for the successful operation of restaurants; reviews financial transactions and monitors the budget to ensure efficient operations; assures all accepted standards, policies, rules, and regulations are followed and enforced to protect the casino assets while maximizing guest safety and satisfaction; executes supervision as a working leader in day to day operations directly supervising and assisting the team members; leads team members by coaching, giving direction, scheduling, training, performance management, and interviewing prospective applicants; demonstrates fundamental F&B knowledge and ensures that all areas are equipped with the essential supplies; ensures business objectives are met by creating positive, exciting guest service experiences. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

  1. Creates an exciting guest service culture by instilling professional, friendly, quick and exceptional service to internal/external guests. Resolves guest concerns or complaints in a timely manner in order to maintain positive guest relations.

  2. Coordinates with other departments to ensure open communication and the successful implementation of promotions, projects or other activities for FIreside Grill.

  3. Submits activity reports and monitors operational performance to budget; initiates actions to optimize opportunities or correct unfavorable variances.

  4. Supervises and delegates effectively; assigns expectations/responsibilities; takes appropriate supervisory action when superior or inferior performance is recognized.

  5. Interviews and recommends employment or personnel, ensures proper scheduling and staffing levels under varying business conditions.

  6. Guides and/or participates in the development of training programs that establish, measure, and nurture skills required to perform the work. Maintains knowledge of management, marketing, and F&B technological advancements within the industry.

  7. Must keep accurate and current records of employee’s attendance, evaluations, and disciplinary actions per policy.

  8. Ensures compliance with gaming policies, rules and regulations, tribal laws, state or federal regulations; establish and enforce controls to protect the casino and Nation’s assets.

  9. Thorough knowledge/understanding of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages; policies, procedures, laws, regulations and beverage services.

  10. Accounts for inventories and portion control, maintains par levels as specified. Supervises labor cost and cost of sale.

  11. Ensure the safety and security of team members and guest. Promotes and exhibits responsible alcohol service, sales and consumption.

  12. Must be available to work various shifts, based on the demands of the venue.

  13. Assumes/performs additional duties as assigned. 

     

 
Position Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, and/or ability required.

EDUCATION
Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Culinary is preferred.

EXPERIENCE
1-2 year supervisory experience in full service food and beverage operation.
Must have working knowledge of Oklahoma Health Department codes.

 

 
Gaming License Must obtain and maintain a gaming license.
