Summary:  Responsible for developing and implementing programs that align the workforce with key business strategies and initiatives. This position will collaborate with the departments and Human Resources to improve department, team and individual performance while assessing company-wide developmental needs to drive initiatives. This position will also provide consultation in change management and organizational effectiveness. This position is responsible for assessing organizational need, designing and deploying various leadership and organizational development programs, tools and processes that facilitate improved organizational performance. This role oversees the organizations Training Specialists and Resource Trainers, consults with, HR Business Partners and operational leaders to identify OD and training opportunities, and works collaboratively with them to develop and deploy solutions.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned. 

  • Create and implement programs that connect employees with business goals.

  • Consult with department managers to identify core competencies needed to perform in the roles in their respective departments.Develop on the job training that develop the skills necessary to meet the competency requirements.

  • Identify and implement data collection tools, data sources, benchmarks, and performance targets to assess organizational effectiveness.

  • Implement retention effectiveness interventions through development, implementation and evaluation of progression models, career tracks that drive retention and organization readiness.

  • Work with management to identify specific work situations requiring employees to better understand changes in policies, procedures, regulations, and technologies.Create programs to ensure understanding.

  • Diagnose potential organizational problem areas and make recommendation for improvement.

  • Continuously seek and support new approaches, practices and processes to improve the efficiency of training and programs offered.

  • Conduct follow-up studies of all completed training and programs to evaluate and measure results; modify programs as needed

  • Develop effective materials utilizing a variety of media as required.

  • Provides consultation, analysis, assessment and recommendation for performance gaps and development of new skill sets, i.e. address training needs outline developmental opportunities, etc.

  • Recommend solution for performance issues and appropriate training.

  • Works with the Human Resources, consults with senior management to identify development needs and develop overall strategy and program plans for improving the managerial skills of leaders throughout the company.

  • Provides program and course facilitation as required.

  • Plan and lead short- and long-term planning for OD programs.

  • Prepare budgetary recommendations that meet departmental goals and provide for effective management of resources.

  • Conduct talent Assessments - Facilitate talent assessments and reviews, identify areas of improvement and consult with leaders for improved performance.

  • Succession management – Consult with Human Resources to facilitate or participate in succession management sessions.
