Share Email Opening Title Table Games Floor Person  Description SUMMARY Oversees card games on assigned shift, providing guests with superior service and encouraging return business; ensures efficient, profitable operations while in compliance with all applicable gaming regulations, standard operating procedures and MIC's; ensures casino assets are protected at all times. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES 1. Creates an atmosphere that actively builds and maintains relations to ensure patrons receive superior service and information to encourage return business; initiates courteous and friendly conversations with guests; greets and welcomes guests to the gaming floor. 2. Circulates among gaming tables to ensure the operations are conducted properly, that there is no unusual/suspicious activity between player, dealer or supervisory staff; listens to guest complaints and resolves situations in an equitable manner to preserve standards of customer service; maintains knowledge of all large action that has taken place during shift; documents and reports noteworthy shift events to Manager. 3. Maintains familiarity with card games used at the facility, as well as strategies employed in those games; provides overall gaming instructions to guests when requested, or as assigned, to encourage gaming activity; actively supports current marketing promotions. 4. Monitors staffing levels to ensure the games and tables are adequately staffed for Shift assigned; arranging or coordinating staff rotations and breaks and locating substitute employees as necessary; ability to support all decisions and answer questions of Manager. 5. Oversees management of table chip trays/bank roll; inspecting/changing equipment as deemed necessary; able to open/close all tables in the pit and roll shifts between each other; maintaining appropriate game spread; ensuring adequate inventory of gaming supplies for area and generating various operating reports. 6. Has a complete knowledge of the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for the Blackjack Pit; able to estimate shift wins and losses at all times; able to track pit drops at all times. 7. Provides administrative support to Floor Persons, such as preparing work schedules and station assignments; attendance control; budgets developed and controlled; purchase orders reviewed/initiated; ensures short and long term objectives for card games are accomplished. 8. Ensures casino assets are protected at all times; assists in establishing/monitoring of department standards to ensure proper planning and efficient operation of card games; adherence to gaming regulations and internal controls; maintains safety/welfare of guests and employees. 9. EDUCATION High School Diploma required Associate's Degree preferred EXPERIENCE Minimum 3 years progressive, including supervisory, experience in table games.
