JOB DESCRIPTION:

 

Broad position responsibilities will include proactive promotion and sale of pump products to various customers (End Users, Engineering Firms, OEMs/Packagers, Contractors) for the Municipal & Industrial markets in Atlantic Canada. This position reports to the Industrial Sales Manager Eastern Canada.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 In this role, you will:

  • Generate quotations / sales.
  • Manage existing customer base.
  • Promote the entire brand as part of the solution to grow more sales at existing customers by broadening your scope of supply.
  • Identify, qualify and secure sales opportunities.
  • Prospect for new business.
  • Develop, nurture and maintain close working relationships with the decision-makers in the assigned markets / accounts.
  • Develop weekly / monthly / annual sales and forecasting reports.
  • Assist Internal Sales in the preparation of quotations and bid clarifications.
  • Provide market, customer and competitor intelligence to Inside Sales during quote preparation.
  • Follow up and close quotes issued by Inside Sales.
  • Develop in conjunction with the Industrial Sales Manager a series of product presentations for the engineering consultants and implement during lunch and learn sessions
  • Promote Natpro’s products at regional trade shows as required
 
Position Requirements

EDUCATIONAL TRAINING, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, APTITUDE

 

Absolutely Must Have:

  • Five years demonstrated ability to successfully sell the assigned products in this geographical area.
  • Ability to effectively present ideas and influence buying decisions.
  • Technical education and background, Bachelors degree in Engineering preferred.
  • Superior and effective communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills required for technical documents review and comment
  • Better than average computer skills, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Superior organizational skills - a self-starter who can work independently and as part of a busy team.

Would be great to have previous experience with:

  • Rotating Equipment – Pumps
