Share Email Opening Title Contract DBA Database Developer  Description General Accountability: This position will service the critical data needs of the Credit Union and turn data into information. The DBA/Database Developer will  produce analytics, maintain the SQL Server environment, and assist others with complex queries and performance optimization. This position will work closely with team members from different departments across the organization. Specific Accountabilities: Create complex analytic queries on large data sets Analyze trends in key metrics to convert data into information Create stored procedures, triggers, and functions Generate code to extract, transform and load data from production data sources to the data warehouse Create Executive Dashboard solutions Performance tuning of key queries. Perform DBA related responsibilities in a Microsoft SQL Server environment utilizing version 2008R2 and up.  This should include: Planning server configuration/requirements Installing SQL Server, reporting services, Integration Services, Analysis Services Planning and implementing database backups and maintenance plans Restore databases from full backups and transaction log backups when necessary Investigate under-performing servers from hardware to the database design and determine any bottleneck or performance constraints Moving databases and services from one server to another Follow source code and change management procedures Work closely with end-users to understand new business needs and determine the best solutions to meet those needs Work with external vendors to install and maintain3rd party products and systems   Also helpful: Proficiency in MS SharePoint development The ability to design, develop and maintain Microsoft SSAS cubes A high-level understanding of the VMware environment Proficiency with ASP.NET/C# and SSRS Knowledge Skills and Abilities: The ability and desire to quickly learn new and relevant skills and stay abreast of best practices Effectively communicate issues and resolutions to all levels of the organization Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive customer and internal information Friendly prescence and helpful attitude; good interpersonal skills and ability to work well with others in a team-oriented, collaborative environment Ability to work productively with or without direct supervision Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities High competence with MS SQL Server 2008R2 and up Knowledge of principles of database design, data acquistion and data access analysis Knowledge of stores procedure writing, query optimazation, and indexes Able to effectively prioritize tasks in a high-pressure environment Strong customer service orientatation   Education and Experience College degree in computer science or equivalent work experience delivering exceptional solutions Minimum of 2 years of experience in a database development role producing proven solutions   Position Requirements   Full-Time/Part-Time Contingent   Close Date   Exempt/Non-Exempt Exempt   Location 023 - Allegacy - Headquarters/Westbrook   About the Organization Do you get a thrill out of helping people realize their dreams?
