Intern:   MedImmune Biologics  -  Quality Assurance Specialist

Location:  Frederick, MD

MedImmune is the worldwide biologics research and development arm of AstraZeneca, a global, innovation-driven biopharmaceutical business that focuses on the discovery, development and commercialization of small molecule and biologic prescription medicines.  MedImmune is pioneering innovative research and exploring novel pathways across key therapeutic areas, including respiratory, inflammation and autoimmunity; cardiovascular and metabolic disease; oncology; neuroscience; and infection and vaccines.

We are currently seeking candidates who are working towards obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Life Science, Engineering, or other relevant discipline for an internship during the summer of 2016.  This summer internship opportunity is within the Quality Assurance Department.

Core Responsibilities:

·         Assist with QAD documentation simplification projects

·         Document scanning and archive organization

·         Process mapping

·         Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) document and guideline creation

 
Position Requirements

·         Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, or Senior year college student

·         Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8+       

·         Solid analytical skills, documentation skills, and effective communication skills

·         Customer service skills are required for successfully managing interdepartmental relationships

·         Any project management experience or coursework is a plus

·         Experience with or knowledge of regulatory practices (CFRs) or FDA audit experience is also a plus
