Description

Special Operations Forces (SOF) Language, Regional Expertise, and Culture Instruction (LREC) LREC Program Management and Academic Specialist (LMAS)

Summary:

The LMAS will provide support to the unit or school LREC Training Program(s).  The LMAS will observe, analyze, and evaluate all aspects of the organization’s LREC program in accordance with established academic, organizational, and other standards specified. 

Specific duties may include:

  • Assess and analyze advanced language testing statistics, advanced LREC training database statistics, analyze advanced language training POI and recommend changes that enhance the effectiveness of the 1st SFC’s advanced language training program.
  • Assist GOVT manage process improvements to the 1st SFC’s advanced language training program, recommend metrics and implement approved metrics, and collect data to measure improvements.
  •  Facilitate implementation of approved changes to the 1st SFC’s advanced language training program.
  • Collect and analyze individual language testing results from subordinate commands for the purpose of conducting consolidated analysis reports. These reports will be accomplished by compiling required testing analytical reports, reviewing/identifying gaps, and reporting trends within unit training programs.
  • Conduct analysis of after action reports from each advanced language training course of instruction in order to produce consolidated reporting on the identified recommendations concerning the 1st SFC Command LREC Training Program.
  • Must have the ability to communicate with Government when traveling (must communicate via phone and email systems.

Required Qualifications:

·         The LMAS will possess foundational knowledge of LREC programs.

·         Journeyman’s level proficiency in a non-English language.

·         Two or more years as a language instructor. 

·         Two or more years of instructor management experience in a military environment.

·         Duties will require one week of travel per month

Ability to interact on a professional level with administration, faculty, students, and all personnel.

Effective use of diplomacy, tact, and judgment.

Ability to work well independently; demonstrated creativity, self-discipline, and organization; and ability to search and understand new technologies and their potential

Clearance:

Top Secret clearance is required upon entry into position
