About the Organization KMHS is Kitsap's nonprofit, designated community mental health provider for adults with acute and/or chronic serious mental illnesses, and children with serious emotional disturbances and their families. During 2016, KMHS provided services to more than 6,800 children and adults.

Inpatient, residential, and outpatient treatment services offer evidence-based treatment, using trauma informed care to help people reach their recovery goals. We offer whole person care through mental health and substance use treatment and care management, close care coordination with on-campus and community-based primary care providers, and with partner PCHS, now offer dental care to KMHS clients and the community. Many community partners assure people receive behavioral health care in the right place, in the right way, at the right time. Together we are weaving a web that connects emergency room and hospitals, substance abuse treatment, and primary care providers; creates partnerships for early intervention at home and school, supports multiple law enforcement, jail, and justice endeavors, and works to ensure housing, food, and other social supports together with social service agencies and community collaborations.

Description

To provide on-going supervision of clients in the Madrona Day Treatment Program at KMHS. To participate in all program activities and participate as milieu treatment team member.

  • Complete training and orientation as required by agency and specific programs.
  • Participate in on-line supervision of clients in appropriate KMHS programs and participate in all appropriate program activities.
  • Assure a safe environment for clients through regular and random safety/security checks and appropriate crisis intervention strategies.
  • Participate in milieu, individual, and group treatment and accurately chart activities of assigned clients as required at the conclusion of the shift.
  • Participate in development and implementation of treatment plans as appropriate.
  • Participate in intakes and discharges as required.
  • Serve as primary contact person for specified clients.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork for licensing, documentation, and training requirements in an accurate and timely manner to assure compliance with all agency, statutory, regulatory, and funding requirements.
  • Transport clients as needed.
  • In addition to the above, any other responsibilities appropriate to the position and not specifically listed in the job description.
     
 
Position Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid WA State Driver License & reliable, insured transportation
  • Ability to attain Agency Affiliated Counselor License
  • Food Handler Permit
  • Ability to satisfactorily pass a criminal background investigation
  • Ability to work a flexible work schedule 
  • Relevant education and/or experience strongly preferred
  • 4 hrs. HIV/AIDS Certificate (On-line courses information is available through Department of Health website: http://www.doh.wa.gov/cfh/hiv/prevention/training/default.htm)
 
Salary $13.18/hr.
