About the Organization KMHS is Kitsap's nonprofit, designated community mental health provider for adults with acute and/or chronic serious mental illnesses, and children with serious emotional disturbances and their families. Description

PURPOSE:
Provide on-going supervision and treatment activities in the Home Based/Community Support Programs at KMHS, participate in all program activities as a treatment team member, improve the operations of KMHS in support of its stated mission, and provide the highest level of customer service to internal and external customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Participate in one-on-one supervision of clients as appropriate.
  • Ensure a safe environment for clients as directed through safety/security checks and appropriate crisis intervention strategies, including emergency services as needed.
  • Meet with therapist to strategize and plan for treatment activities.  Follow directives on Case Aide Referral Form.
  • Provide activities as required by the child’s treatment plan and/or ILS treatment plan.
  • Monitor children’s behavior while in the community or other settings and teach social skills.  Report to Case Aide Coordinator, Case Managers, Therapists and parents or guardians.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork, documentation, training and orientation requirements in an accurate and timely manner to ensure compliance with all agency, statutory, regulatory, and funding requirements.
  • Transport clients as directed by Case Aid Coordinator.
  • In addition to the above, any other responsibilities appropriate to the position and not specifically listed in the job description.
 
Position Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:   High school diploma or GED with twelve months relevant experience; Ability to work a flexible/changeable work schedule; valid driver’s license; background investigation and driving record meeting agency standards; reliable, insured transportation.  Applicants must be 21 years old.

PHYSICAL CONSIDERATIONS:  While performing the duties of the job, the employee is required to walk, use hands and fingers, reach with hands and arms, talk or listen.  This position may work in outdoor weather conditions.  Peripheral vision is also required for this position.  A fair degree of flexibility and strength is required in this position due to meeting the physical needs of some children.

 
Salary $13.18 per hour
