Description
  • Recruit, screen and hire required safety watch and all other short term industrial personnel assigned to pool

  • Prepare all offer letters and ensure the following onboarding items are completed prior to enrolling new hires in industrial safety training:

    • Verification of ability to work in Canada

    • Verification of all prerequisite certifications required for position

    • Drug/alcohol testing

    • Fit & audio testing

    • Verification that new hire packages are complete and sent to HR admin team for ADP entry

  • Build effective relationships with station managers by communicating regularly and responding to requests in a timely fashion

  • Establish and maintain productive relationships with employment groups, high schools, colleges, and universities to proactively network and create a talent pipeline to draw upon to meet critical recruitment needs

  • Track and report key recruitment metrics

  • Attend events such as career fairs and tradeshows to network and deliver information about working for HSE

  • Enter, monitor and update pool personnel certifications into database

  • Facilitate corrective action process with necessary station managers for underperforming pool personnel

  • Complete training agreements as required for all pool personnel

  • Work with coordinators and site leads to identify high performing personnel that may be suitable for further training (e.g. High angle rescue, H2S supervisor, industrial lead, etc.)

 
Position Requirements
  • At least 5 years of full-cycle, high volume recruitment experience

  • Proven aptitude for effective organization of work, attention to detail, and prioritization of daily tasks to meet established deadlines

  • Excellent relationship building and customer service skills; ability to anticipate internal client needs and requirements

  • Post-secondary education in related field

  • Previous industrial work experience is an asset

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Above average oral & written communication skills

  • Strong computer literacy including proficiency in MS Word and Excel

  • Flexibility for occasional travel
