Description

SUMMARY
Monitor the operation of the in-house computer network, monitor in-house computer software systems and network connections to ensure high levels of availability and security of the supported business applications and ensure the secure operation of the in-house computer systems, servers, and network connections. This includes supporting, and optimizing all network hardware, software, and communication links and checking server and firewall logs, scrutinizing network traffic, establishing and updating virus scans, and troubleshooting. The person will also resolve end user hardware and software computer problems, escalate security breaches, and communicate in a timely and accurate fashion. Conduct user activity audits when directed. Other duties or projects, as assigned.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

  1. Monitor most electronic devices within Muscogee Nation Gaming Enterprises (MNGE), including servers, kiosks, electronic games, network connections, air conditioners and their associated software.
  2. Monitor and maintain various ticket queues.
  3. Monitor system backups and recovery.
  4. Monitor all security systems and their corresponding or associated software, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and anti-virus software.
  5. Monitor end user accounts, permissions, access rights, and storage allocations in accordance with best-practices regarding privacy, security, and regulatory compliance.
  6. Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware and software problems within the MNGEenvironment. Escalate incidents as necessary.
  7. Provide support for Tier I.
  8. Maintain and oversee enforcement of technical policies, procedures and user system access based on industry-standard best practices.
  9. Communicate all scheduled and unscheduled outages to affected and interested parties in a timely and accurate manner.
  10. Maintain the Datacenter room logs and environmentals.
  11. Assist in deploying all patches and upgrades to PCs and peripherals.
  12. Control and administer Vendor connections into MNGEenvironment.
  13. Gather root cause on all outages and document the root cause on all high severity outages.
  14. Manage the monitoring tools which includes adding new nodes, upgrading firmware/OS for the tools, and developing solutions to monitor new applications. #ind1

 

 
Position Requirements

EDUCATION
University degree in the field of computer science, computer information systems, information systems or information systems and/or combination of education & experience. Preferred Certifications: CCNA or MCSE

EXPERIENCE
2-3 years related work experience.
Working technical knowledge of network and PC operating systems, including Windows 7, Windows Server, and Cisco.
Application support experience.
Working technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and standards. Hands-on hardware troubleshooting experience.
Experience documenting and maintaining configuration and process information

 
Gaming License Must obtain and maintain a Gaming License.
