Share Email Opening Title Mortgage Loan Processor  Category Mortgage   Description Summary: Responsible for day-to-day responsibilities of processing mortgage loan applications including, but not limited to, ensuring complete applications and supporting documentation are obtained, completing timely and accurate mortgage loan disclosures, ensuring a smooth underwriting process, prompt and accurate handling of denied and withdrawn mortgage loans, ensuring investor and bank eligibility guidelines are met.  This position will help ensure compliance with all mortgage related regulations including Regulation B, HMDA, RESPA and Regulation Z. Individuals at that this level will be expected to have a basic level of knowledge for processing applications for VA, FHA, USDA (RD), and other similar loans which typically have a higher level of program and documentation requirements.  Individuals at this level require a higher level of coaching by Level III processors on these types of loans. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  Essential duties and responsibilities include the following: Individual demonstrates a positive and helpful attitude toward customers and understands how his/her role affects the customer experience. Effective and efficient communications with mortgage loan customers and River Valley employees to ensure a positive mortgage loan application experience. Maintains open lines of communication with customers, realtors, title companies, and insurance companies, documenting information pertaining specifically to each individual loan file within the LOS. Daily processing of mortgage loan applications. Ensures consistent, accurate and timely mortgage loan application processing. Monitors and maintains in-process pipelines ensuring all appropriate timeframes are met. Responsible for compliance, accuracy and integrity of LOS as it relates to all loan processing activities and supporting documentation. Works with the mortgage sales and operational staff to continually improve efficiencies and communications in the mortgage processes. Ensures consistent, timely and accurate loan closing documentation packages. May assist Mortgage Banker(s) with closings; schedules closings on refinanced mortgages. Maintains and expands working knowledge of Mortgage Products and Mortgage industry. Other Responsibilities: Perform other related duties as required or assigned that are in the spirit of this job description and position as necessary for the Bank and the Department to function effectively. Provides support to the other areas of mortgage operations as needed. Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Education/Experience: 1-5 years of professional experience in the industry.  Four year degree from an accredited University or equivalent industry training or experience related to mortgage lending, processing and compliance.
