JOB PURPOSE:

Product Advisors positively and professionally respond to customer contacts received from a variety of sources to meet or exceed client customer service expectations.  Customer service may include gathering information, relaying product information, accessing dealer/service locations, and placing product or literature orders and up-selling client products. Product Advisors use a variety of resources to respond to customer contacts, including scripts, actual products, product literature, internet and computer databases.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Process and respond to customer contacts received via incoming calls, internet, email or white mail in a professional manner to meet or exceed client expectations.
  2. Gathers information, conducts brief surveys, or up sells a product.  Diffuses anger, shows empathy, and engages in active listening.
  3. Provides customers with product information that is easily referenced from tools provided. Responses to customers require routine decisions regarding what needs to be done and a small number of choices.
  4. Follows scripts or templates to respond to customer inquiries verbally and/or in writing with some deviation and adaptation of response as needed.  Executes specific rules and procedures with limited discretion.
  5. Accurately data enters customer data for processing of orders & literature requests.
  6. Maintains performance in accordance with departmental and Company guidelines to ensure the highest level of quality to our clients and their customers.
  7. Performs assigned clerical duties to enhance departmental operations.
  8. Attends on-going training meetings to properly update skills and information.

Minimum Job Requirements: (Education, Experience, Skills)

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Demonstrate Customer Service Skills
  • Data Entry Skills
  • Strong computer skills with the ability to navigate between multiple applications
  • Ability to adapt quickly to change in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Able to handle highly confidential customer information
  • Commitment to company values and goals
