The Architect will play a lead role in designing, developing and implementing Ascentis’ SaaS platform and REST based services. This is an excellent opportunity to show case your creativity and bring innovation to the Enterprise Applications domain.   Responsibilities: Own the overall design of our next generation Human Capital Management (HCM) cloud application platform. Research and evaluate software frameworks, systems and practices to ensure appropriate approaches are used within the project. Resolve complex technical issues and make design decisions to meet the critical requirements of scalable, highly available, multi-tenant enabled services in the cloud. Provide senior-level technical knowledge and mentor talented engineers in the design and development of various components. Write, maintain, and oversee architecture and technical design documents.   Position Requirements Degree in computer science or related fields and10+ years relevant experience with increasing responsibility, or ­­equivalent combination of education and experience. Demonstrated expertise in Object-Oriented Analysis and Design, with a focus on high-quality, timely, and supportable and maintainable code delivery. Demonstrated expertise in the architecture and design of high performance distributed systems, e.g., in areas of messaging, search, archiving, workflows. Strong expertise in Java language and core libraries. Experience and comfort with iterative development, i.e., Agile/SCRUM/TDD methodologies, etc. Demonstrated history of technical leadership and successful delivery on large and complex projects. Ability to clearly articulate impact of technical choices to non-technical audiences, and build consensus across technical and non-technical stakeholders. Broad knowledge of various build and source control systems, development, debug and testing tools as well as methodologies.
