Ascentis is seeking an experienced payroll and taxation expert to fill our newly created Wage and Tax Reconciliation Lead position. The Wage and Tax Reconciliation Lead ensures that all new Ascentis payroll clients run their first live payroll with balanced year to date data. The Wage and Tax Reconciliation Lead works closely with Payroll Implementation Consultants and directly with our clients to provide an efficient, effective implementation experience. Ascentis prides itself on the quality of our customer service; the individual in this role will help us establish ever-higher standards for customer service quality. In practical terms, the Wage and Tax Reconciliation Lead will perform the following tasks: 1. Reconciling year-to-dates to the check history totals, per employee, for the clients prior processor to the numbers provided to Ascentis. 2. Reconciling the quarterly tax returns for Federal, States and Locals for the client’s prior processor to the numbers that Ascentis would file based on the numbers in the system. 3. Accounting for all the differences in items 1 and 2 and making necessary adjustments to the Ascentis amounts when needed. The Ideal Candidate Possesses: - Experience with filing tax returns
